April 2021.- The webinar will explore how the omic sciences are revolutionizing the agri-food world along with industry 4.0, creating value in healthy products for informed, digital consumers who are aware of the relationship between nutrition and health. Omic sciences allow us to design nutrition tailored to the dietary and metabolic needs of segments or groups of the population, while allowing us to characterize ingredients and extracts, prevent fraud and ensure food security, among many other applications.
The Center for Omic Sciences (COS), a member of OmicsTech, is managed by Eurecat together with the Rovira i Virgili University and has cutting-edge tools and technologies in the fields of metabolomics, proteomics, transcriptomics and genomics. Within the framework of projects such as the Tecnomifood, Metrofood or Preventomics Network, Eurecat carries out R & D & I activities with companies and knowledge centers in the different fields of nutrition and health, from support in product design healthy and functional to the analysis and integration of the data obtained to scientifically validate the effects on health in a robust way.
